Aline the Alien collection for SPX

I remade this page for the new collection. I think it works much better than the first version.

I'll be at SPX this weekend, at the Cartozia Tales table, L1-2A, and I'm bringing a small number of copies of this new collection of Aline the Alien Miscadventures. Catch 'em before they're gone.

A self-indulgent comic (it's my birthday)

It wasn't really my birthday when I drew this, but it is now, so I'm posting it today.

It seems I drew myself slimmer and less hunched over than I really am. I may go back and fix that, and add halftones and corrections and stuff. I suppose this'll do for now. Thanks for indulging me.

Portfolio 2013

This is my current illustration portfolio, which I'll display here until I finish rebuilding my website.

First are examples of cartooning combined with hand lettering:

Next are book illustrations from The Golden Ass:

More book illustration and wild figure drawing:

...and inventive pages in a mix of styles:

Skillful and ingenious, right?
